The Minnesota Council for History Education is offering a series of immersive one-day day workshops for K-12 history educators and future teachers interested in “Teaching History through Multiple Perspectives.” The workshops will be held at the St. Cloud State University Graduate Center in Maple Grove on July 22nd. One workshop will assist elementary teachers with incorporating primary sources and artifacts to teach multiple perspectives. Another workshop will be targeted towards middle school and high school history teachers and will focus on utilizing a variety of resources to teach history through multiple points of view. Both workshops will connect participants with primary sources, inquiry based lessons, online resources and best-practice teaching strategies to help improve history instruction. 6 CEUs will be provided to participants, as well as snacks and a meal.
