On April 6th, the United States will commemorate the 100th anniversary of its entry into World War One. To help remember this event, on Saturday, April 1st, the Minnesota Council for History Education is hosting a half day workshop for teachers interested in learning more about this war and how to teach it to their students. Prof. Jameel Haque (Minnesota State University) will be there to discuss his research on this topic, along with three classroom teachers who will share their lesson plan ideas on how to integrate this subject into a Minnesota, U.S. and/or World History class. Participants will be given resources and teaching materials that can be used to help commemorate this historic event.
CEU’s will be offered to any interested teachers.
