History Fest

Minnesota teachers of history: join us for the 2017 History Fest, a conference focused entirely on teaching history in the K-12 classroom!

The keynote speaker for History Fest is Dr. Steven Schier, Political Science professor at Carleton College. Dr. Schier will deliver a keynote on the legacy of Alexander Hamilton entitled, “Why We Live in Hamilton’s America.”

Participants will have a choice of several educator-led sessions, focusing on state, national and world history, as well as assessments, primary sources, and more. Jump in on tours of Minnesota Historical Society collections and connect with your history peers from around the state. This workshop has sessions for elementary, middle and high school levels. Parking, light breakfast, lunch and CEUs included.
