College Ambassador Program

Starting in the 2012-2013 academic school year, the Minnesota Council for History Education will be accepting applications from pre-service Social Studies teachers for membership on the state Board of Directors. To apply, a student must have completed at least 30 credit hours from their university/college and be enrolled in a Social Studies Education program (elementary or secondary). Students must complete the online application and be willing to serve on the Board for one year. Each university is only allowed to send one student who will serve as a liaison for MNCHE and their respective institution.  Applicants are asked to provide an e-mail address or a phone number for a professor from their program who would be willing to recommend them for the Board.  Students will have voting rights and will be asked to help the Board run its annual activities, such as the regional roundtables and summer institute.
